Reinforcement Bar Cutting Length Calculation

Original Bar Length: Each reinforcement bar is 12,000mm in length.

Lap Length: The lap length for joining two bars is 800mm , 50D for 16mm.

Objective:

To cut the bars into lengths of 5600mm and 6400mm such that there is no wastage and the lap length between two bars is 800mm.

Calculation:

1. Divide the original bar length by 2:

   12,000mm / 2 = 6,000mm

• Piece 1: Cut a piece of 5600mm.
• Piece 2: The remaining piece will be:

  12,000mm - 5600mm = 6400mm

Thus, you successfully achieve cutting lengths of 5600mm and 6400mm from a 12,000mm bar, with a lap length of 800mm, ensuring no wastage.
